Jetour, the SUV brand launched in South Africa last year, will be the automotive brand sponsoring the largest number of vehicles for the upcoming G20 Summit in Johannesburg.

Taking place from 22–23 November 2025, this year marks the first time this global forum will be hosted on African soil. This comes at the perfect time to boost Jetour’s visibility among local and international delegates, with the brand having just launched its T-Series this month. Seventy of these new T2’s will be used by the SAPS VIP Protection Services to serve as convoy cars, transporting Foreign Ministers and dignitaries between their respective hotels and the Nasrec Expo Centre, where the G20 Summit is being held. This was confirmed by Mr Clayson Monyela, Deputy Director General: Public Diplomacy at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), in his speech at Jetour’s recent launch of their T Series on 24 October at the Grand Parade in Cape Town.

During the Launch, delegates from both Jetour and Government Departments met on stage and took part in a ceremonial lighting of a protea to mark this partnership and the official vehicle handover.

This partnership will further showcase Jetour’s new T2 as powerful, comfortable and technologically advanced, making it ideal for VIP transport. The T2 features panoramic cameras, parking sensors, and tyre pressure monitoring, ensuring safety and situational awareness during convoys. Spacious, quiet cabins with ergonomic seating and high-end infotainment systems provide comfort for dignitaries, with the high ground clearance, and multiple driving modes allowing reliable performance across city streets and varied terrains.

While a relatively new brand in South Africa, Jetour has been trusted by government entities across Africa and the Middle East. Examples include the Angolan government purchasing Jetour’s 7-seater X70 models for national police use, while in Oman, Jetour was the vehicle sponsor of the government-backed Tour of Oman cycling event. These examples highlight the brand’s growing international footprint and the confidence placed in these vehicles.

Under the theme "Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability," this year’s G20 Summit will highlight the voices of developing countries and review progress on the G20’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
