Most people enter competitions without expecting to win, but for Khensani Buhle Tom and Similo Jele, a simple selfie turned into the surprise of a lifetime. After visiting a Jetour dealership, taking a photo behind the wheel of a Jetour Dashing and experiencing the vehicle firsthand, both walked away with a brand-new Jetour Dashing of their own, as winners of Jetour’s Sit.Snap.Win competition.
Khensani, 23, from Mbizana in the Eastern Cape was selected as the winner of the April draw, while Similo, 26, from Esikhawini, Empangeni in KwaZulu Natal won for May.
“I can't explain the feeling that I had when they called out my name as the winner. I was overwhelmed with emotion. I felt excited, grateful, and genuinely blessed. There were so many thoughts running through my mind about how this opportunity could help me and my family,” says Similo. “It was one of those rare moments where you are completely speechless because you never imagined something so wonderful could happen to you. I am deeply appreciative and will never forget the joy I felt when I realized the car was really mine”. As a tertiary education student who had never owned a car before, winning this car is a dream come true for Similo.
“Winning the Jetour Dashing feels absolutely amazing and still feels a bit unreal. When my name was announced, I was shocked, excited, and overwhelmed with gratitude. It is a life-changing moment for me, especially at my age, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been chosen as the winner,” says Khensani, who travelled to Johannesburg alongside fellow semi-finalists, including fellow winner Similo, for the announcement event held at Jetour Midrand this past Saturday. “This vehicle will make a huge difference in my life, and I am very grateful to Jetour for making this possible. It is an opportunity I will never forget, and I am proud and excited to be part of the Jetour family”. This prize is particularly significant for Khensani, who boarded an aeroplane for the first time to attend the handover event and is now the proud owner of his very first vehicle.
With one more Jetour Dashing still up for grabs in the final June draw, South Africans still have until 30 June to enter at any of the over 55 Jetour dealerships countrywide.
