With that line, Leapmotor South Africa launched its national ‘More Money to Move’ campaign; a bold brand statement aimed at accelerating its footprint locally while positioning the C10 REEV as an aspirational, yet financially structured entry into electric mobility that holds its value.
At the centre of the campaign is the 30-second Man on the Moon advert, inspired by Neil Armstrong’s historic words during mankind’s inaugural moon landing in 1969. The ad’s creative reframes the idea of a ‘giant leap’ for a modern driving era defined by electric performance, comfort and extended range capability.
Janus Janse van Rensburg, Head of Marketing and Sales for Leapmotor at Stellantis South Africa, says the campaign deliberately shifts the tone of the EV conversation.

The advert is live on Leapmotor South Africa’s official YouTube channel and forms part of a high-impact national visibility drive, which also includes the southern hemisphere’s largest digital billboard (not visible from space, but it’s close), in partnership with Redlined.

The campaign positions the Leapmotor C10 REEV as a future-ready solution for motorists who want lower-emission mobility without compromising on performance or everyday usability.

With heated seats, a panoramic sunroof and a combined range of up to 970 km, the C10 REEV introduces range-extender electric vehicle capability to the South African market.
The configuration supports electric-only driving for daily commuting, with generator assistance extending the range when required, bridging the gap between full battery electric vehicles and conventional hybrids.
