Johannesburg, 29 April 2026.  Hyundai Automotive South Africa has reinforced its support of local professional golf by handing over two vehicles to Sunshine Tour players, Herman Loubser and MJ Viljoen.

CEO Stanley Anderson presented Viljoen with a Hyundai CRETA and Loubser with a Hyundai TUCSON. The golfers will use the vehicles for the duration of the season as they travel to tournaments across the country.

“This partnership is about mobility, momentum and consistency,” said Anderson.  “Herman and MJ represent the next generation of South African excellence.  Their consistency, discipline and results align with our own values as a motoring brand.  We are proud to support them as they take on bigger stages.”

The Sunshine Tour, which hosts more than 25 tournaments a year, remains a key pipeline to global circuits such as DP World Tour, with South African players consistently progressing to international competitions.

Loubser, fresh off a breakthrough season that saw him finish among the top performers on the Order of Merit, said the support is crucial.  “The Sunshine Tour is highly competitive and the travel demands are real.  Having a reliable Hyundai vehicle allows me to focus fully on my game and preparation.”

“It has been an incredible journey for me as a professional golfer, filled with challenges, growth and unforgettable moments.  Having the support of partners like Hyundai truly makes a difference,” he added.

Viljoen, a multiple-time Sunshine Tour winner with growing international credentials, echoed the sentiment. “I am truly grateful for what Hyundai is doing for all the golfers.  They are the only sponsor going above and beyond for the Sunshine Tour and it really makes a difference to us as players.”

“I am excited to be driving the Hyundai CRETA…it is comfortable, reliable and my golf bag fits perfectly.”

As an official partner of the Sunshine Tour, Hyundai continues to invest in supporting professional golfers, as part of its broader investment in South African sport.
