Reshaping South Africa’s automotive retail and vehicle-buying experience

Cape Town, 27 November 2025 – Hyundai Automotive South Africa today launched the new Hyundai Kenilworth hub, an innovative retail dealership aimed at making vehicle-shopping consumer experiential, rather than transactional.

Located at Access Park Mall, one of Cape Town’s most familiar shopping destinations, the hub is designed to drive consumer engagement by bringing Hyundai’s brands directly where people live, work and shop.  Among the services offered, include interactive digital shopping tools, onsite test-driving of Hyundai models, booking a service, vehicle comparative features and direct engagements with sales teams on financing options.

“For many South Africans, a journey to purchasing or exploring a new vehicle has long been hindered by practical challenges such as travel times.  With this concept, we want to offer convenience when it comes to shopping for a Hyundai vehicle,” stated Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa.  “Exploring a new vehicle should feel natural, enjoyable and not disrupt a customer’s lifestyle and things they enjoying doing.”

As customers’ shopping trends evolve, Hyundai Hub is devising strategic innovations to bring the same dealership experience closer to its customers.  “The Hyundai Kenilworth is more than a retail space.  It is a dynamic, open-door environment designed to simplify every stage of car shopping to ownership,” stated Mark Torrance, Hyundai Automotive South Africa Western Cape Regional Manager.

“From our city-friendly compacts to family-focused SUVs, visitors can explore a curated selection of Hyundai’s latest models at their own pace, guided by our product specialists who are trained to empower, not pressure,” stated Junaid Daniels, the Dealer Principal of Hyundai Kenilworth.

Hyundai Automotive South Africa has a national footprint of 97 dealer network and owns 44 of these, giving it an advantage in the highly competitive automotive industry.  Anderson stated that the company plans to roll-out more similar hubs across the country next year, as part of its dealership modernising strategy aimed at reaching more customers.
