Johannesburg, 31 July 2026. Hyundai Automotive South Africa has been named the Official Vehicle Supplier of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry, presented by Castle Double Malt, bringing together one of the world’s leading automotive brands with one of sport’s most celebrated contests.
Few rivalries in world sport command the respect and anticipation of the Springboks versus the All Blacks. Since first meeting in 1921, the two rugby powerhouses have contested 107 Tests, sharing a rivalry that spans more than a century. Notably, between them, they have claimed seven Rugby World Cup titles.
As a supplier of the Tour, Hyundai will deploy a fleet of 65 vehicles for the duration, including the award-winning Hyundai STARIAs, Hyundai SANTA FEs, Hyundai H100s, Hyundai CRETAs and other models. The fleet will provide seamless transportation for both teams’ players, match officials, tournament organisers and key stakeholders as the Tour travels across South Africa.
“What an honour it is for Hyundai Automotive South Africa to play a role in a rivalry that has inspired generations of rugby supporters around the world,” said Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa.
“To provide the seamless mobility that will help bring this unique series to life and to do so for arguably two of the greatest rugby teams in the world, is a privilege we do not take lightly. At Hyundai, we believe every great journey deserves a trusted partner and are proud to help keep this historic Tour moving.”
Rian Oberholzer, CEO of South African Rugby Union said the Springboks and All Blacks have built one of the greatest rivalries in world sport.
“Delivering an event of this magnitude requires partners who share our commitment to excellence and Hyundai’s support will be instrumental in ensuring the tournament runs smoothly from start to finish. We are excited to have Hyundai as the Official Vehicle Supplier.”
The Tests within the South African leg of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry will be staged at three venues: Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, DHL Stadium in Cape Town as well as FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, where thousands of fans are expected to witness top-class rugby.
For Hyundai Automotive South Africa, the partnership is an opportunity to help deliver unforgettable moments, connecting fans through various stadium fan engagements and importantly, ensuring every journey throughout Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry is safe, comfortable and enjoyable.
